There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One is roots, the other, wings.

PEDIATRIC CARE
Taking care of children and their families is, for me, what family medicine is all about. There is no role in life that is more difficult, or more important, than being a parent. Families come in all shapes, sizes, and configurations, but they share one thing in common: parents willingly assume the profound responsibility of raising up a young human being to become a healthy adult.
Fraught with joy, anxiety, frustration and fears (and a good dose of craziness), parenting is a road of bumps and turns that takes us places we have never been. We try to give our very best to our kids. Sometimes we succeed, other times we fail dismally. But miraculously, we grow and mature along with our children, becoming better people in the process. I love to participate in this journey; educating, listening, advising and celebrating the miracle of what makes a family.
